Abstract

The article discusses the need to repeal the critical habitat designation section of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and limit the application of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on the ESA section to help avoid the extinction of the Florida Key deer amidst threats due to climate change. Also cited are how the sea level rise due to climate change is destroying the deer's habitats in Florida, and the need to save the Western Snowy Plover from sea level rise.
