Abstract

The article reports on the claim by nonprofit hospital chain Providence that it will refund payments made by over 700 low-income patients who were erroneously charged for medical care as a result of its program called Rev-Up, which is aimed at maximizing revenue. Also cited are the journal's move to investigate the Rev-Up program, and the lawsuit filed by Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson against Providence for alleged violations of state law.
