Abstract

Determining the role of the dimensions of social media exposure on final year student anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic is the goal of this study. Previous research has shown contradictory results between the effect of social media exposure on mental health, especially anxiety. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross sectional survey method conducted online. A total of 108 final year students participated in filling out the social media exposure scale and Zung's self-assessment anxiety scale. In analyzing the data, the researcher used a hierarchical multiple regression technique. The results of the study found that only the dimensions of emotional disturbance can have a significant positive effect on anxiety in final year students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
