Abstract

Clinically significant EI is commonly defined as EI that requires removal, which corresponds to EI of grade 2 or more using Probst/Machat classification.[1] We defined clinically significant EI using reported criteria from other studies additionally, which we referred to as "stringent." They were concerned about the clinical characteristics of some eyes, definition and ascertainment of the epithelial ingrowth (EI) outcome, and surgical technique. Reply: Effect of time since primary laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis on flap relift success and epithelial ingrowth risk. [Extracted from the article]
