Abstract
- The article discusses the author William Hazlitt's attitudes toward travel in his book "Table Talk" in the context of contemporary materials guiding the reading public during their journeys. It mentions that by the 1810s, the genre of road books had become the embodiment of the attitudes toward and descriptions of travel to which Hazlitt is opposed in "Table Talk."
