Abstract
- The article discusses the future of the use of hydrogen-powered gas turbines in the aviation industry as of October 2022. Topics include the history of the use of hydrogen fuel in terrestrial applications such as Pratt & Whitney's jet engine developed in 1956, the demonstration of the capacity to operate on pure hydrogen at the Long Ridge Energy Terminal in Ohio, and hydrogen fuel's low-pollution potential in comparison with kerosene-like jet fuel.
