Abstract

If the decomposing particle moves, the opening angles of the ejected particles change according to the momentum of the decaying particle. A Short History of the Search for Axions in Nuclear Physics Very challenging nuclear physics experiments were initiated in 1978 to detect a new particle, the axion, predicted by Weinberg [[5]]. As we have seen from the history of nuclear physics, however, study of electron-positron pairs in nuclear transitions may also be an efficient way to look for new light particles.
