Spectrofluorimetric Method for Determination of Solifenacin Succinate in Bulk and in Tablet Formulation.

A sensitive, reproducible, and cost-effective spectrofluorimetric method was developed for the quantification of solifenacin succinate in bulk and its tablet formulation. The method was validated in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonization guidelines with respect to linearity, accuracy, precision, limit of detection, limit of quantification, and robustness. Excellent linearity was noted in the concentration range of 15.0–95.0 μg/mL with a correlation coefficient (r2) of 0.9961. The limits of detection and quantitation for the proposed method were found to be 1.19 and 3.62 μg/mL, respectively. Excellent recovery of the drug was obtained from its marketed tablet formulation with the proposed method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
