Abstract

In this paper we study a free boundary problem of the diffusive competition model with different habitats. It is assumed that the habitats of the two species u and v are (- ∞ , g (t)) and (h (t) , ∞) , respectively, and g (0) < h (0) . In their separate habitats, the two species obey the diffusive logistic equations. In their common habitat, they are in competition. We investigate the existence, uniqueness, regularity, uniform estimates and long time behavior of the global solution. Some sufficient conditions for the spreading and vanishing are also established.
