Scientific and technological innovation is the fundamental support for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. This paper analyzed the current status of scientific and technological innovation in nine provinces ( autonomous regions) in the Yellow River Basin from 2016 to 2020, and finds that the supporting mechanisms of scientific and technological innovation for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin are as follows: speed up the digitalization process of factors of production, smooth the high-quality factor circulation mechanism, improve the adaptability and innovation level of the economic structure, build high-quality synergy mechanism, optimize the law-based business environment, and implement the digitalization progressive governance mechanism.
