The presented research explores the expectations of a group of 40 Roman citizens about the psychologist. Open interviews were conducted and analyzed through the ETA (Emotional Text Analysis). In the 2000s, research on this subject continued to point out, alongside the one concerning a form of psychotherapy aimed at the individual, the presence of a demand, addressed to the psychologist, to intervene on the crisis in relationships and in systems of coexistence. The University, the Order of Psychologists, the professional community more generally seem not to have given an adequate response. While the perception of a crisis in the systems of coexistence seems to grow and the demand concerning it is confirmed in this research, at the same time the connection with the psychological profession loses strength. The fact remains that the demand persists, requiring intervention initiatives from a psychology capable of proposing them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
