Abstract

The article deals with current trends in hydraulic technology. Manufacturers of fluidic systems are increasingly relying on AI, soft sensing, and intelligent components to make their systems more efficient and easier to use. An important starting point is data acquisition and utilization to make condition data more easily accessible and provide customers with concrete recommendations for action. In addition, the optimization of hydraulic systems is already being advanced in the engineering phase through simulation and software tools. Soft sensing allows the condition of plants to be indirectly determined based on existing data. The advancing digitization enables, among other things, predictive maintenance and the use of digital twins. One challenge is to improve the usability of the systems in order to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. [Extracted from the article]
