Abstract

This paper presents the standardization of 90Y solution using the Cherenkov method measuring in the TDCR counters. The counting efficiencies for the production of Cherenkov light were applying the Frank and Tamm theory. The detection efficiency for the TDCR counter was calculated in a home-made code. The calculation took into account the PMT's asymmetry in the detector and the anisotropy of Cherenkov light propagation. The solution was measured in two different TDCR detectors using the Cherenkov and Liquid Scintillation Counting methods. The agreement of the two methods results was below 0.1%.
