LA RETÓRICA EN LA GRECIA CLÁSICA: ARISTÓTELES Y EL ARTE DE LA PERSUASIÓN.

Rhetoric, understood as the art of persuasion, has a direct impact on the daily work of jurists. The aim of this paper is, firstly, to analyse the causes and historical context that led to the emergence of rhetoric in Syracuse and Athens during the 5th century BC. Secondly, it studies the polemic about rhetoric between the main sophists of the time and Plato. Finally, the theoretical systematisation of the discipline of rhetoric developed by Aristotle in his book Rhetoric is presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
