Abstract

For a class of degenerate wave equation model in the moving boundary domain, the finite difference method is used to discretize it. The second-order central difference formula is used for the numerical discretization form in the time direction, the second-order central difference formula and the fourth-order difference scheme obtained by the undetermined coefficient method are used for the numerical discretization scheme in the space direction. The Taylor expansion formula is used to give the numerical calculation process at the first time layer and the fixed boundary. If the numerical discretization form in the spatial direction is the second-order central difference formula, the triangular grid and the corresponding numerical discretization form are used to deal with the moving boundary. If the numerical discretization scheme in the spatial direction is the fourth-order difference formula, the corresponding numerical discretization scheme are used to deal with the moving boundary. The numerical experimental results verify the effectiveness of the two numerical schemes in solving such problems, and the spatial fourth-order accuracy difference scheme is more accurate than the spatial second-order accuracy difference scheme.
