Abstract

The article reports on how the strict rules imposed by the Chinese government to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease are affecting tourists by citing the case of Nicole Chan, who was quarantined for several days after the detection of several Covid-19 cases in Sanya, Hainan during her vacation there. Also cited are the adverse effects of the strict Covid-19 protocols to the Chinese economy and the psyche of citizens, and the lockdowns imposed in popular tourist destinations due to Covid.
