Abstract
- Islamabad's site was determined in the late 1950s and construction started, and Pakistan's center of power was transferred there in 1966 after an interim period in Rawalpindi, which lies dir-ectly to the south of Islamabad. Islamabad, Pakistan's capital, is one of South Asia's most important and vibrant cities. July and August experience the most rainfall, owing to the South Asian Monsoon. [Extracted from the article]
