Inferences were also drawn from the results of tests done on normally consolidated Wenzhou soft clay ([1]), and Guo et al. ([2]) for comparison of the behavior of the two types of clay soil. In their paper, the authors have reported on the research findings of a stiff overconsolidated clay (Gault clay) from the UK subjected to undrained cyclic loading undertaken in a hollow cylindrical apparatus (HCA).
