Abstract
- Inferences were also drawn from the results of tests done on normally consolidated Wenzhou soft clay ([1]), and Guo et al. ([2]) for comparison of the behavior of the two types of clay soil. In their paper, the authors have reported on the research findings of a stiff overconsolidated clay (Gault clay) from the UK subjected to undrained cyclic loading undertaken in a hollow cylindrical apparatus (HCA). For the Second Conclusion The test results for the stiff overconsolidated Gault clay were presented and discussed by the authors in relation to comparisons between the CT and CHCA test results, permanent strain accumulation, resilient stress-strain response, and pore pressure observations.
