O VALOR DA FOTOGRAFIA COMO DOCUMENTO: MATERIALIDADE E INSTITUCIONALIDADE.

The article reflects on the configuration of the document from its materiality and analyzes photography as a document, considering its materiality and possibility of presenting evidential value and institutional interests for the representation of reality, taking institutionalized interests into account. Its main objective: to understand photography by its materiality, valorization and institutionality. The specific objectives: to identify, through the materiality of the photographic record, characteristics that enable its recognition as a document. Investigate processes of valorization and institutionalization of photography as a document and address its potential uses. The adopted methodology will be of a qualitative, exploratory nature and will adopt the bibliographic research procedure for data collection, from physical books, e-books and scientific articles, searched in the Information Science and Academic Google database, including the years from 2010 to 2020. The intended result is the evidence of the object, which, from the documental content, attesting to a certain fact and being validated and institutionalized as a document, these photographic sources acquire documental value.
