Throughout this study, we will analyze whether today the subsidies approved by the public authorities to promote the use of renewable energy sources are also applicable to the use of the enormous energy potential contained in biomass, understood as one of the main renewable energy sources we currently have. To this end, we propose a tour of the most common legaltechnical tools in this regard, including projects at both community and state level, to subsequently examine what has been the result of the practical application of these supports to the use of biomass.
