Abstract

The article reports on the decline of the U.S.' gross domestic product (GDP) for the second straight quarter in the second quarter of 2022 that increased the possibility of a recession in the country amidst the high inflation. Based on Commerce Department data, GDP declined by 0.2% after adjusted for inflation. Also cited is the claim by President Joe Biden that the country will survive the historic global challenges.
