Abstract

Intensive care medicine is a constantly evolving discipline and this is why ESICM CoBaTrICE Committee decided to update the list of competences and the training syllabus. Recommendations for core critical care ultrasound competencies as a part of specialist training in multidisciplinary intensive care: a framework proposed by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM). In line, standards for postgraduate training and training programmes in ICM have been proposed [[2]] and later adopted by Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS) as Common Training Framework [[3]] as well as into the training programs of several European countries.
