A COMPETITIVIDADE DA CADEIA PRODUTIVA DO MEL EM UM MUNICÍPIO DO NOROESTE DO ESTADO DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL.

The aim of this study was to analyze the particularities and challenges of the honey production chain in a municipality located in the northwest region of Rio Grande do Sul. The study is an exploratory, qualitative study in the form of a case study. The main actors in the honey production chain were interviewed, these being representatives of entities active in the environment and beekeepers in the municipality, totaling eight respondents. Concomitant with the semi-structured interviews carried out, in order to deepen the case, the observation and construction of a field diary was also carried out. It was found that the interviewees demonstrate different perceptions regarding the competitiveness dimensions of the honey production chain in the municipality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
