Abstract

Determining, detailing, and also developing a certain topic to form a scientific paper in accordance with the rules of research report should be a common knowledge among students. However, the reality is far from that. A succint method is needed so that the obstacles can be minimized. This research was conducted to help students improve their scientific writing skills by applying the Deep Dialogue Critical Thinking (DDCT) method, which was carried out using a quasi-experimental research design involving pretest and posttest of the DDCT method treatment. A total of 25 psychology’s students were involved in this study. The results showed that there was a difference between the pretest and posttest of the treatment given by the DDCT method on the ability to write scientific papers in students (p=.00). It means that the DDCT method was effective in improving the student’s ability to write scientific papers. This method can help students develop their ideas in determining, planning, reviewing, and developing research topics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
