Abstract

In this study, the predictive role of emotion regulation, resilience and subjective well-being at school variables on smartphone addiction levels of adolescents was examined. The research was conducted based on the relational survey model. The research group consisted of a total of 355 adolescents, 167 (47%) males and 188 (53%) females. The average age of the research group is 15.82. "Smartphone Addiction Scale - Short Version", "Emotion Regulation Questionnaire", "Psychometric Properties of Child and Youth Resilience Measure", "Brief Adolescents' Subjective Well-Being in School Scale", and "Personal Information Form" were used as data collection tools. Research data were analysed by the hierarchical regression analysis method. As a result of the research, it was determined that the variables of emotional regulation, resilience, and subjective well-being in school significantly predicted smartphone addiction.
