Abstract

This article presents an evaluation of the Johnson temperament analysis. The Johnson Temperament Analysis is one of a battery of tests administered to all new students of Green Mountain Junior College during the first week of college in September 1945. It is the questionnaire type of test and consists of 182 questions. According to the Manual of Directions a person's temperament consists of his more fundamental characteristic behavior tendencies. The Manual states further that the scores on the test may be used in vocational guidance, in diagnosis of some principal factors in faulty relationships, as an aid to psychiatric and psychological diagnosis, to detect school individuals in need of personal counseling, in mate selection, and in treatment of temperament faults.
