Abstract
- On the basis of the presented mathematical model, the problem of the formation of gas hydrate during the injection of gas (methane) into a porous layer of finite length, initially saturated with methane and ice, is considered. The cases when hydrate formation occurs both on the frontal surface and in the extended region are investigated. It is established that a part of the gas hydrate formed in the extended region can dissociate in the future, and the extended region of hydrate formation can degenerate into a frontal surface.
