Abstract
- An important parameter for assessing the technical and economic value of a batch of cocoons, along with the silkiness, is the determination of the maturity of the cocoons. The work relates to agriculture-silk production and can be used in cocoon dryers, receiving points and dredging plants to determine the actual amount of silk mass during the acceptance of live cocoons. To reduce the flow of immature cocoons that cause serious economic damage to silk production, a new method is proposed: a mathematical model for determining the maturity of live cocoons with the FTI-1M device without cutting them, which is the most important in terms of determining the quality indicators of raw silk. The developed new method, the purpose of which is to increase the accuracy and efficiency in determining the maturity of live cocoons of any breed, using the FTI-1M device. The standard error of maturity determined by the proposed method is 0.19%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
