Abstract
- • High-spatial-frequency LIPSS were constructed on carbon fibers by FLDW technology. • LIPSS dramatically change the surface wetting behavior of carbon fibers. • LIPSS make the carbon fiber support Pt nanoparticles in a hydrophilic environment. In this work, carbon fiber cloth is proposed by femtosecond laser direct writing technology (FLDWT) with different conditions. As consequence, series of laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) are constructed on the surface of carbon fiber cloth, and the hydrophobic property of carbon fiber cloth is changed dramatically, the contact angle of pristine carbon fiber cloth sharply decreases from 150.8° to 20.4°, which makes carbon fiber cloth successfully support platinum nanoparticles in a hydrophilic reaction environment.
