Abstract
- The article discusses the development of a polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) assay in lieu of the standard sequencing- based assay for detection of D614Gmutation. Topics include the versatile molecular tool in molecular biology research by PCR-RFLP; identification of some potential pitfalls after further scrutinizing the assay design, and variants present in the restriction site sequence is important when designing a PCR-RFLP assay.
