Abstract

A comparison of the physicochemical properties of T-3 and T-3K "Termoxid" sorbents, as well as the possibility of sorption of Cs-137 and Sr-90 radionuclides from low-mineralized waters, has been carried out. Composition, structure, porosity of sorbents have been investigated. It has been shown that the T-3K sorbent can be used for the selective concentration of 90Sr from low-mineralized waters with the combined presence of 137Cs and 90Sr. The distribution coefficient of strontium is (1.3 ± 0.6) · 104 ml/g, the static exchange capacity is 49 ± 12 mg/g.
