Abstract

The article presents a new discovery from the Bronze Age in the Tollense River. It is a bronze figure depicting a female figure with a neck ring, breasts, and a belt. Similar figures have been found previously on the island of Zealand and in Scania. The figure from the Tollense is dated to the late Bronze Age and may have had a weight of 26 grams. It is believed that the deposition of the figure at a crossroads, where a violent conflict had previously taken place, could have been a place of remembrance. [Extracted from the article]
