Methods: This is an exploratory-descriptive study with a qualitative approach, carried out in a university hospital in southern Brazil. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 20 nurses in the months of July and August 2020. Data were analyzed using the content analysis technique supported by the Qualitativa Data Analysis Mine software. Results: Three thematic categories emerged from the data: Reduction in the flow of assistance to women in situations of sexual violence in the period of social distancing; The exacerbation of domestic violence in the period of social distancing; Changes in nursing care for women in situations of sexual violence in times of pandemic. Conclusion: With the COVID-19 pandemic, there were some changes in the nursing care of sexually abused women, especially in issues related to the humanization of care, such as the restriction of the companion, uninterrupted use of the surgical mask by professionals. However, these are fundamental changes to contain the pandemic and protect nurses and the population. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
