Abstract

ZSM-35 with different silica-alumina ratio and crystal size were synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by means of XRD,N2 adsorbtion-desorption, SEM and Py-FTIR. The results showed that the number of acid sites and the peak intensity decreased with increasing silica-alumina ratio and the peak intensity decreased with increasing crystal size. The skeletal isomerization of pentene was conducted on the ZSM-35 catalysts in fixed reactor. The results showed that the ZSM-35 catalyst activity decreased but selectivity increased with increasing silica-alumina ratio and the shorter crystal size ZSM-35 catalysts exhibited not only high activity and selectivity but also good stability during the skeletal isomerization of pentene.
