The Royal Decree-Law 6/2022 adopts urgent measures in response to the economic and social consequences of the war in Ukraine. The increase in the price of natural gas and oil has led to higher costs of raw materials and intermediate goods, resulting in increased inflation and a slowdown in growth. Sectors such as road transport, fishing, agriculture, and livestock are particularly affected by the rising energy prices. The Spanish government has implemented measures to accelerate the energy transition and reduce dependence on imported fuels, as well as to promote renewable energies and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in transportation. Furthermore, modifications have been made to the Water Law to regulate the administrative concessions necessary for the installation of photovoltaic solar plants in the public hydraulic domain.
