The term "empowerment" was coined at the World Conference on Women held in Beijing, aimed at promoting actions that solve women's dignity, as a basis for building peace, prosperity and sustainability (UN Women, 2015). This study reviews the approachability or accessibility of women to education, economy, society and politics, since it is considered that empowered people should achieve balance, autonomy and the ability to act according to their own life project.
