Abstract

The reaction path of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural prepared from cellulose was analyzed in detail, and the catalyst system including homogeneous catalyst and heterogeneous solid acid catalyst and solvent system such as single phase, multiphase and deep eutectic solvent systems for the preparation of HMF from cellulose in recent years were comprehensively summarized. In addition, the catalytic principle and activity of catalyst, the stability and application prospect of solvent system were also summarized. The challenges faced by the current research were summarized and the future development direction was prospected, in order to provide some reference for related researchers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
