This study analyzes the poetics of the photographic registers of Severo Sarduy (Cuba, 1937-1993), Pedro Lemebel (Chile, 1952-2015), Alair Gomes (Brazil, 1921-1991) and Hudinilson Júnior (Brazil, 1957-2013). By body and artifice, sensibilities traverse the works that revisit not only baroque, but the neobaroque in its aesthetic dimension. By a folding, we look between queer and photography to think about the performative of the body as image through melancholy and trauma. What we call the "skin of images" is close to a texture of the in-between look that touches us, like a surface that extends from one skin to another. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
