Abstract

The search for sustainable and sustainable actions, points its efforts in the use of renewable energies. Wind energy is one of these, which are used in different parts of the world; Europe has appropriated its use by strengthening the value chain. Colombia is embarking on its implementation, but it is in the initial phase. In Quindío, there are no references for the use of wind energy. This project proposes to design and build a vertical type wind turbine to generate electrical energy in Tecnoacademia in Armenia; implement a software for the physical modeling of air flow, turbulence, heat transfer, that allow the industrial applications of the prototype, extending its usability to the business sector of the region.
