MULHERES INDÍGENAS E PARTICIPAÇÃO POLÍTICA NO CONTEXTO DA 2ª CONFERÊNCIA NACIONAL DE SAÚDE DAS MULHERES.

The article analyzes the participation of indigenous women in the context of the 2nd National Conference on Women's Health, especially the 1st Free Conference on the Health of Indigenous Women, which took place in Brasília in 2017. The study was based on participant observation and analysis of the materials produced and records of interviews. The reflections dialoge with the theoretical discussions produced by indigenous and non-indigenous researchers who adressed the gender issue on indigenous peoples, especially aspects of the political mobilization of indigenous women. The proposals presented at the conference address health in an expanded perspective. In addition, they demanded more participation of indigenous women in the instances of discussion and construction of public policies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
