Abstract
- The article presents the author's experience of dealing with US English language learners (ELLs) who did not speak Spanish English, and the students' languages were not represented in the classroom or school libraries. It discusses tools that can help teachers and librarians to collect high-quality texts for their libraries for ELLs and serve as a first step toward creating a multilingual environment that honors all students' languages.
