Modelo híbrido de emissões de CO2 em Mato Grosso do Sul: aplicação na cadeia de frango de corte.

This study quantified the energy consumption and CO2 emissions of the broiler chicken chain, considering the hybrid input-output matrix of Mato Grosso do Sul, using data from 2015. The intensity of carbon dioxide emissions for 7 sectors of the state economy is calculated, in addition to calculating the key sectors using the Rasmussen-Hirschman linkage indices. The broiler chicken chain has total emission effects of 32.50 t CO2 for every R$ 1 million added to economic activities related to the production chain and the linkage indices had impacts on the increase in CO2 emissions in the previous links of the production chain. The results provide information on economic and environmental impacts arising from investments in the production chain. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
