this work seeks to critically think over about Florestan Fernandes 'interpretation above the contradictions of the bourgeois autocracy operating in brazil after the military dictatorship, which he defined as a "dissimulated dictatorship", and about revolutionary potential of the workers' movement. In our evaluation, fernandes did not properly consider the capacity of the bourgeois autocracy to co-opt with the main organizations in the world of work, in a successful transformist movement that gave bourgeois domination a social and political stability in a superior quality.
