Abstract

International entrepreneurial orientation is one of the most focused concepts in the field of international entrepreneurship, enabling businesses to identify and exploit internationalization opportunities. The aim of this study is to examine the concept of international entrepreneurial orientation. Therefore, the current academic research on international entrepreneurial orientation has been examined through a critical literature review. An overview of the concept is provided and a roadmap is created for future studies. In this context, first, international entrepreneurial orientation was explained conceptually, and then 51 studies were examined through a literature review. Studies are primarily classified according to the journals. After that, the publications were classified according to the research methods. Concepts associated with international entrepreneurial orientation were examined as dependent variables, mediator/moderator variables, and independent variables. It was observed that the studies examined within the scope of the study mostly used quantitative methods. Quantitative studies were examined, and information was provided on the types of international entrepreneurial orientation measurements and the sample of empirical studies. As a result of the examinations, the findings related to the subject were discussed, and suggestions were made for future studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
