Abstract: The article discusses how Russian president Vladimir Putin is allegedly using the concept of Russkiy that is based on shared ethnicity, religion and heritage in his decision to invade Ukraine. Also cited are how Putin is using the idea to advance his anti-Western ideals of Orthodox dogma, nationalism, conspiracy theory, and security-state Stalinism, and the Russian cult of war.
