Abstract

Via applying the mixed-ligand approach, a new Zn(II)-bearing coordination polymer (CP) with the chemical formula of {Zn2(ptp)2(tad)2·H2O}n (ptp = 2,6'-(pyridin-4-yl)-4,2':4',4''-terpyridine, H2tda = 2,5-thiophene dicarboxylic acid) with a threefold interpenetrating 3D framework was successfully synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. The local anesthesia activity of compound was evaluated via hot plate analgesic experiment, and the results indicated that the numbers of mice lift up was obviously reduced under the compound exposure. In addition to this, the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay study was performed to measure the content of acetylcholine in local. The data suggested that the local acetylcholine content was significantly reduced by the compound. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
