Abstract

The article informs that oxaliplatin induced peripheral neurotoxicity is a double folded late toxicity comprising a sensory chronic neuropathy and a peculiar acute neurotoxicity syndrome. It is noted that chronic neurotoxicity was assessed via nerve conduction studies, behavioural tests and neuropathology and observed a significant Oxaliplatin-related neurotoxicity reduction related to Sodium-calcium exchanger family inhibition assessing Dorsal Root Ganglianeurite elongation.
