Abstract
- The research deals with the historical-critical pedagogy, conceived by Saviani, from the 1980s, with the intention of incorporating advances and overcoming the limits verified in the context of previous pedagogies. The objective was to analyze the production disseminated by the journals Educação & Formação, Ensino em Perspectivas and Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidade, linked to the Graduate Program of the State University of Ceará, to identify the thematic categories relevant to the use and appropriation of conceptions of Saviani on historical-critical pedagogy. A qualitative, state-of-the-art study was conducted, based on content analysis. From the full reading of the 13 selected products, four thematic categories emerged 1) the relationship between school and work; 2) teaching work; 3) teacher training; and 4) Public Educational Policies. It is concluded that the dialog with Saviani's conceptions underlies the debate of a multiplicity of themes in the educational field that encourages a counter-hegemonic teaching practice.
