Abstract

The objective of this study is to investigate whether workplace friendship has a mediator role in the relationship between nurses' teamwork and job performance. A survey form including Teamwork Scale, Job Performance Scale, and Workplace Friendship Scale was used as data collection tools in the study. Descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analyses were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results obtained from the study, it was determined that there was a significant and positive relationship between teamwork, workplace friendship, task performance and contextual performance. In addition, after determining that there is a relationship between teamwork, workplace friendship, task performance and contextual performance, the mediating effect of workplace friendship on the effect of teamwork on task performance and contextual performance was analyzed through the process macro regression analysis method. As a consequence of the study, it was found that workplace friendship had a partial mediating effect on the teamwork-task performance relationship. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
