Abstract
- A formulation that determines the permittivity and permeability tensors of a 3-D array of obstacles is presented. The formulation uses the reflection and transmission properties of a single layer with respect to Floquet modal fields, followed by eigenmode expansion of the fields. The eigenmodal fields together with Maxwell’s equations yield the permittivity and permeability tensors. The numerical results compare well with the available data in the literature. Interesting results of meander line obstacles are shown and discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
